Associate Professor of Computer & Computational Science

About the role

We are seeking an Associate Professor in Computer & Computational Science to lead teaching and research initiatives in emerging areas such as IoT, artificial intelligence, and data science. The successful candidate will join a vibrant academic community committed to the NEP‑2020 vision and industry‑aligned learning.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver core and elective courses covering IoT, image processing, computer vision, predictive analytics, machine learning, and data science.
• Design and periodically revise curricula in line with NEP‑2020 guidelines.
• Mentor students, provide academic advising, and supervise field‑based projects and theses.
• Participate actively in departmental and institutional academic activities.
• Establish and nurture industry collaborations for internships, live projects, expert lectures, and joint research.
• Develop real‑time IoT‑based and vision‑based applications and promote student innovation through hackathons and competitions.

Required profile

• Ph.D. (or pursuing) in Computer Science or a related discipline, with an M.Sc./MCA/M.Tech as required.
• Eligibility and experience as per UGC norms and institutional regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to teach at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Python and MATLAB.
• Experience with OpenCV, TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Familiarity with IoT frameworks and cloud platforms.
• Strong background in data science, machine learning, and computer vision.
