Associate – FIG Research & Analysis

About the role

As an Associate in the FIG Research & Analysis team at ANZ, you will conduct end‑to‑end research, credit analysis and credit management for complex financial institution clients, including banks and non‑bank financial institutions. You will work closely with relationship managers and risk executives within a global, permanent, full‑time role based in Bengaluru.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare high‑quality Annual Review Credit Memorandums (ARCM) for FI clients.
• Produce Financial Monitoring Diary Notes (FMDN), Risk Grade Review Events (RGREs) and other industry‑specific analyses.
• Maintain strong working relationships with business partners, relationship managers and risk executives to ensure risks are identified and mitigated.
• Participate in risk management forums and provide portfolio and industry updates.
• Perform additional credit management activities as required by the team.

Required profile

• 6+ years of relevant experience in FIG research and analysis with strong credit analysis skills.
• Strong attention to detail, commitment to quality, governance and process discipline.
• Sound risk awareness and judgement, with ability to escalate issues appropriately.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Team‑oriented mindset, able to collaborate with in‑country teams, relationship managers, risk teams and clients.
