Associate - Equipment Maintenance

About the role

The Associate Equipment Maintenance Engineer ensures optimal performance, reliability and safety of pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment. Working on‑site, the role combines routine preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and support for equipment qualification and compliance activities.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on upstream and downstream pharmaceutical equipment, including solution preparation, fill‑finish lines, sterilization, visual inspection, packaging and microbiology systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults, initiate LOTO permits, and coordinate corrective actions to minimise downtime.
• Support equipment qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ) and validation activities, documenting results in compliance with GMP and regulatory standards.
• Manage spare‑parts inventory using EAMS, schedule work orders, and ensure proper calibration of instruments such as pressure gauges, temperature sensors and flow meters.

Required profile

• Diploma or B.Tech in Mechanical, Instrumentation or Electronics Engineering.
• 2–5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a pharmaceutical or related manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of EHS, GMP, equipment qualification standards and basic lean production concepts.
• Ability to work independently, follow procedures and support compliance activities.

Required skills

• Preventive and corrective maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Use of multimeter, analyzer and other diagnostic tools.
• Programming/operation of PLCs and SCADA systems.
• Calibration of pressure gauges, temperature sensors, flow meters and analytical instruments.
• Proficiency with EAMS for work order management and inventory tracking.
• Reading and interpreting P&ID drawings and control system wiring.
