Associate Director, Data Stewardship

About the role

Join a global biopharma leader as an Associate Director, Technical Product Owner – Automation & Material Master Stewardship. Based in Hyderabad’s Tech Center, you will work in a hybrid model (3 days onsite, 2 days remote) to drive the technical roadmap for core data creation and maintenance platforms supporting supply‑chain and manufacturing operations.

Key responsibilities

• Own the global Material Master data model and stewardship tools (Syniti/DSP) ensuring reliability, compliance and continuous improvement.
• Lead backlog grooming, sprint planning and release management for data creation, change‑management and validation tooling integrated with SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA.
• Design and implement intelligent automation, workflow orchestration and generative AI (e.g., Gemini) solutions to replace manual stewardship processes.
• Partner with Quality, CSV and Regulatory teams to embed GxP‑compliant data quality checks, audit trails and traceability into all automated workflows.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Supply Chain, Data Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 8+ years of progressive experience in Master Data Management, SAP Material Master operations and technical product ownership, preferably in a regulated life‑science environment.
• Proven track record of delivering automation or process‑simplification projects and managing enterprise‑scale tooling releases.

Required skills

• SAP Material Master (MM) – deep functional knowledge of all views and downstream impacts.
• Syniti/DSP or comparable MDM governance platforms.
• SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA integration experience.
• Automation technologies – RPA, business rule engines, API integration, low‑code orchestration.
• Generative AI (e.g., Gemini) and machine‑learning applications for data validation.
• Agile/Scrum product ownership – backlog management, sprint planning and UAT.
