Assistant Professor of Nursing

About the role

The Ahalia Group seeks a full‑time Assistant Professor of Nursing to join its campus in Chittur. The role involves teaching undergraduate and postgraduate nursing students, guiding clinical placements, and contributing to curriculum development.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver classroom and clinical instruction for nursing programs.
• Prepare lesson plans, learning materials, and assessment tools.
• Supervise student clinical placements and collaborate with healthcare partners.
• Participate in curriculum design, ensuring alignment with current nursing standards and regulations.
• Engage in scholarly activities, departmental meetings, committee work, and quality‑assurance initiatives.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of nursing practice and promote a safe, inclusive learning environment.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or higher in Nursing, meeting regulatory accreditation requirements.
• Demonstrated expertise in nursing education and curriculum development.
• Clinical experience, preferably with a specialization in pediatrics.
• Previous teaching experience in nursing programs with strong classroom and clinical instruction skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities.
• Commitment to student‑centered learning, evidence‑based practice, and continuous professional development.
