About the role

Kumaraguru College of Liberal Arts and Science (KCLAS) is seeking dynamic scholars to join its Economics department as Assistant, Associate or Professor. The position involves teaching, research, and community engagement within a liberal‑arts environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Economics as assigned by the department head.
• Engage with scholarly and professional networks to enhance the college’s academic profile.
• Contribute to the design, planning and continuous improvement of the curriculum.
• Develop learning materials, schemes of work and maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
• Participate in assessment design, grading and academic administration.
• Provide pastoral care and mentorship to students.
• Support departmental programs and initiatives as required.
• Maintain ongoing professional development.

Required profile

• Academic qualifications: B.A. and M.A. in Economics with a Ph.D. or NET/SET certification.
• Minimum three years of teaching or research experience in higher education.
• Strong connections with industry and academic circles.
• Commitment to liberal‑arts education, research excellence and student impact.
