Assistant Professor of Computer Science

About the role

SKIPS University is seeking an Assistant Professor to join its School of Computer Science. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, contribute to curriculum design, and support student development.

Key responsibilities

• Teach and assess courses for BCA, B.Sc IT and M.Sc IT programmes.
• Develop and deliver graduate‑level computer science courses.
• Plan, review and innovate teaching methods and assessment strategies.
• Provide pastoral support and mentorship to students.
• Participate in curriculum development and quality assurance with national bodies.
• Engage in research, publish in reputable journals and contribute to departmental committees.
• Perform administrative duties as assigned by the Department Chair.

Required profile

• MCA, M.Sc IT or M.Tech in Computer Science with first‑class marks from a recognized university.
• 2–4 years of teaching experience at undergraduate or postgraduate level.
• Strong commitment to teaching excellence and curriculum development.
• Effective oral and written communication skills in English.
• Very good interpersonal skills.
• Preference for candidates pursuing a Ph.D. or who have cleared NET/SLET.
