Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychology

About the role

The University is seeking a full‑time Assistant Professor to join the Department of Psychology at its Patna campus. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Clinical Psychology, mentor students in practical training, and contribute to the department’s research agenda.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures, seminars and workshops for B.Sc. and M.Sc. programmes in Clinical Psychology.
• Supervise laboratory work, case discussions, internships and applied projects.
• Design, update and review curricula, learning outcomes and assessment tools in line with current clinical standards.
• Conduct independent and collaborative research, publish findings in peer‑reviewed journals and present at conferences.
• Participate in departmental meetings, committees, accreditation and quality‑assurance activities.
• Engage in community outreach and professional development initiatives.

Required profile

• Ph.D. or M.Phil. in Clinical Psychology (or a closely related discipline) with eligibility as per UGC norms.
• Demonstrated experience in university‑level teaching and curriculum development.
• Strong record of scholarly research and publications in clinical psychology.
• Ability to mentor and guide students in both theoretical and practical aspects of the discipline.
