Assistant Professor – English (Full‑Time)

About the role

The university seeks an Assistant Professor in English to join its faculty on a full‑time basis. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses, develop curricula, mentor students, and contribute to the department’s research agenda.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures and tutorials in English language, literature, communication, business and technical communication.
• Design lesson plans, assignments, assessments and innovative, student‑centred teaching materials.
• Mentor students in academic writing, presentation skills, research projects and career development.
• Conduct scholarly research, publish in reputable journals and participate in conferences.
• Assist in curriculum design, review and update programmes in line with UGC, NEP and industry needs.
• Support accreditation, quality assurance, examination processes and academic governance.
• Organise seminars, workshops, literary events and faculty development activities.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in English with at least 55% marks from a recognized university.
• NET/SLET/SET qualification preferred; Ph.D. in English or related field desirable.
• 1–3 years of teaching experience (freshers with strong academic records may apply).
• Prior experience in communication or language training is an advantage.
