Assistant Manager – Trade Reconciliation

About the role

The role is part of the Reconciliation team within Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s Futures & Options and OTC Clearing Derivatives group. You will own T+1 trade reconciliation, manage process controls and support internal and external stakeholders with a high level of service.

Key responsibilities

• Perform account‑level reconciliation of Futures and Options trades on a T+1 basis and own related fee calculations.
• Escalate system or connectivity issues promptly to minimise downtime of the reconciliation process.
• Handle internal and external queries via verbal or email channels, providing accurate and timely responses.
• Identify process weaknesses, flag communication gaps and work with internal teams to resolve breaks.

Required profile

• MBA or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
• 8‑10 years of experience in investment‑bank operations, preferably in Futures & Options clearing, reconciliation or trade support.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently while taking ownership of tasks.
• Above‑average analytical abilities and solid understanding of general accounting concepts.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including macro development.
• Experience with MS Access coding.
• Data analysis and reporting capabilities.
• Familiarity with GMI and TC systems (advantageous).
