Assistant Manager - Terminal Operations

About the role

Team Member - Terminal Operations supports daily terminal operations, including cargo handling and logistics coordination, to facilitate efficient port activities and ensure customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure smooth functioning of terminal automation systems such as PLC, SCADA, HMI and associated hardware.
• Monitor and maintain loading automation for tank trucks and railway wagon operations, attending breakdowns and restoring systems within stipulated timelines.
• Coordinate with OEMs, service providers and vendors for issue resolution and maintain system health, backups, software licenses and configuration records.
• Maintain and calibrate mass flow meters, flow, pressure and temperature transmitters, as well as Automatic Tank Gauging (ATG) devices for accurate inventory reporting.
• Manage LAN, industrial communication networks, MODBUS and Ethernet/IP interfaces to ensure uninterrupted communication between field devices, control rooms and servers.
• Prepare and execute preventive maintenance schedules, keep critical spare parts inventory, and generate monthly maintenance reports and improvement plans.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (B.Tech) in Automation, Electrical, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum three years experience as a technical lead in monitoring and control, preferably handling large software projects.

Required skills

• PLC programming and troubleshooting.
• SCADA and HMI systems.
• Mass Flow Meters and related flow, pressure and temperature transmitters.
• Automatic Tank Gauging (ATG) systems.
• LAN and industrial communication protocols (MODBUS, Ethernet/IP).
