Assistant Manager – Supply Chain

About the role

California Burrito is expanding its network of fast‑casual Mexican restaurants across India and needs a proactive Assistant Manager to oversee supply‑chain operations. You will act as the link between procurement, logistics, vendors and internal teams to ensure a smooth flow of goods to more than 130 locations.

Key responsibilities

• Forecast demand based on outlet consumption and sales trends and plan inventory levels to minimise shortages and waste.
• Track and improve key metrics such as stock transfers, stock‑out rates, vendor service levels, fill‑rate percentages and stock‑holding days.
• Ensure accurate and timely purchase orders for consumables and assets through the ERP system.
• Lead and develop the warehouse team, enforcing SOPs and FIFO practices.
• Negotiate vendor contracts to secure best‑in‑industry pricing and manage cost‑reduction initiatives.
• Collaborate with operations, finance and store teams to align supply with business needs.

Required profile

• Self‑starter with a positive attitude and strong team orientation.
• 3+ years of experience in supply chain or logistics, preferably in food‑service or QSR environments.
• Knowledge of food safety, compliance and FIFO practices.
• Excellent communication and vendor negotiation abilities.
• Experience managing multi‑location distribution and warehouse teams.
