Assistant Manager / Senior Engineer – Quality Management

About the role

We are looking for an experienced quality professional to lead and support the Quality Management System at our Chennai plant. The role combines assistant‑manager responsibilities with senior engineering expertise to ensure automotive QMS compliance and drive continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure all Quality Management System requirements are met for the Chennai plant.
• Build and maintain systems required for automotive QMS certification.
• Review and authorize quality gates for new EM and EM‑IB projects.
• Coordinate customer PPAP processes and provide series support.
• Manage claims, warranty handling, and analysis of field failures, including IQIS complaint management.
• Drive zero‑defect initiatives and quality improvements across the value stream.
• Conduct risk assessments, lessons‑learned activities, and eLPC monitoring.
• Lead internal and external system audits as well as customer audits.
• Support product and process audits, A/Q inspections, Z inspections, and pre‑dispatch inspections (PDI).

Required profile

• Proven experience in automotive quality management and QMS implementation.
• Strong knowledge of PPAP, IQIS, and zero‑defect methodologies.
• Ability to manage warranty claims and conduct root‑cause analysis.
• Excellent analytical skills and a proactive improvement mindset.
• Willingness to work onsite at the Chennai plant.
