Assistant Manager / Senior Engineer – Process Planner

About the role

The position is responsible for implementing and continuously improving manufacturing processes that deliver high‑quality, cost‑effective, and safe production. The role operates at Bosch's plants in Naganathapura and Hassan, applying lean principles and supporting the broader Bosch production network.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse current technical capacities and define measures to meet business volume targets.
• Ramp up production capacity while ensuring process stability and control.
• Establish statistical process control (SPC), control limits, poka‑yoke systems and conduct FMEA line walks to guarantee product quality.
• Provide tooling support to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing and compliance with product specifications.
• Maintain all process‑related documentation for efficient operations, including delivery fulfilment and wage/PPC calculations.
• Drive process optimisation and standardisation in line with lead‑plant practices and support I4.0 projects.
• Create and update Environment Management System (EMS) and health‑safety documents.

Required profile

• Proven experience in manufacturing process planning and implementation.
• Strong analytical skills to assess capacity and drive improvements.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and quality assurance methodologies.
• Ability to work on‑site in a production environment and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
