Assistant Manager - Procurement Installation

About the role

KONE is looking for an Assistant Manager – Procurement Installation to join its Chennai headquarters. The role supports the unit’s business functions by sourcing direct materials, spares, installation services and indirect spend, while ensuring compliance with global category plans.

Key responsibilities

• Identify local sourcing opportunities for direct materials, spare parts and installation subcontractors.
• Negotiate frame contracts and price lists with suppliers and act as contract owner for these categories.
• Support implementation of global/area category plans within the unit.
• Define source plans for customer projects, run RFQs and advise project teams on preferred suppliers.
• Collect business requirements for indirect spend and support local contract negotiations.
• Provide guidance on preferred suppliers, update local policies and ensure compliance.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing (materials).
• B.E/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• Preferably background in construction or building material industries.
