Assistant Manager - PR & Brand Communication

About the role

Victorinox India is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead public relations and brand communication across its four core categories – watches, Swiss Army knives, kitchen knives and travel gear. The role combines strategic PR planning, premium event activation and high‑impact storytelling to reinforce the brand’s Swiss heritage in the Indian market.

Key responsibilities

• Own the PR agenda for Victorinox India, developing and executing an annual editorial calendar.
• Build and nurture relationships with journalists, editors and industry writers, securing editorial coverage beyond product launches.
• Track media performance, key‑message penetration and share of voice, and report insights to internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the external PR agency while steering the brand’s overall communications direction.
• Write and edit press releases, media pitches, brand narratives, leadership communications, interview briefs, agency briefs, consumer‑facing copy and event narratives.
• Identify and activate premium/luxury events in Mumbai and Delhi NCR that align with Victorinox’s brand values, managing partnerships and ensuring brand standards.
• Exercise judgement to decline opportunities that do not strengthen the brand’s premium positioning.

Required profile

• Exceptional writing ability with a proven track record in PR, brand communication or luxury marketing.
• Independent thinker who can craft original, human‑centred copy without reliance on AI tools.
• Strong understanding of the Indian luxury market and ability to translate Swiss craftsmanship into relevant consumer narratives.
• Experience managing agency relationships and executing high‑visibility events.
• Good judgement to evaluate brand fit and say “no” when necessary.
