Assistant Manager - Payments - Merchant Acquiring

About the role

Bajaj Finance Ltd. is expanding its QR acquiring business and is looking for an Assistant Manager to build and lead a new team in Vizag. You will be responsible for establishing merchant relationships, driving QR and POS deployments, and achieving transaction volume targets.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, train and motivate Field Operations Staff (FOS) to meet productivity goals.
• Acquire new merchants and drive QR, SB and POS/EDC deployments across the territory.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key decision‑makers for business development.
• Ensure proper channel coverage through FOS mapping and manage partner relationships.
• Track sales performance, retailer payment reconciliation and execute sales promotion initiatives.
• Maintain process rigor, controllership and monthly store activation as defined by the company.

Required profile

• Graduation or MBA with 2‑4 years of relevant experience.
• Prior exposure to payments, FMCG or telecom prepaid sales is mandatory.
• Experience handling merchant relationships directly.
• Strong communication, interpersonal skills and high energy for field work.
• Self‑starter attitude with a passion for meeting retailers on the ground.
