Assistant Manager – Operations (Hub)

About the role

The Senior Executive / Assistant Manager – Hub Operations is responsible for managing end‑to‑end mid‑mile operations at an assigned Air Hub or Surface Hub, ensuring seamless movement of shipments across the Blue Dart network.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day hub operations, ensuring efficient inbound, outbound and transit shipment movement.
• Coordinate with Network Operations, Aviation, Surface Linehaul and Regional Operations to meet network schedules and resolve exceptions.
• Plan daily hub activities based on shipment volumes and priorities, optimizing resource utilisation.
• Monitor fleet, dock utilisation and turnaround times to improve hub efficiency.

Required profile

• Experience managing mid‑mile hub operations in air or surface logistics.
• Strong leadership skills to lead operational employees, supervisors and outsourced workforce during shifts.
• Ability to ensure compliance with safety, security and regulatory requirements.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for hub operations.
• Proficiency in coordinating fleet, capacity and resource management.
• Familiarity with shipment tracking, scanning compliance and dispatch processes.
