Assistant Manager – MBBS Doctor – Medical Services

About the role

The Assistant Manager – MBBS Doctor will oversee medical services at Navi Mumbai Airport, ensuring compliance with aviation health regulations and providing critical medical support to crew, passengers, and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Manage breath‑alcohol and psychoactive‑substance testing in line with DGCA guidelines.
• Prepare, certify and maintain onboard First Aid, Medical, Universal Precaution kits and AEDs.
• Conduct pre‑employment and renewal medical examinations for cabin crew and ground staff.
• Lead OPD services, clinical examinations, fitness assessments and issue medical opinions.
• Respond to passenger medical calls, handle emergencies and determine fitness to fly.
• Process MEDIF/Stretcher clearances, arrange hospital visits and follow‑up on duty‑related accidents.
• Oversee calibration of alcohol testing instruments and maintain medical documentation.
• Manage medical inventory and conduct First Aid training sessions.
• Perform additional duties assigned by the Head of Medical Services and work in rotating shifts.

Required profile

• MBBS degree.
• Class II Medical Examiner certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Willingness to work in shift patterns.

Required skills

• Strong clinical knowledge and medical examination skills.
• Computer skills for documentation and inventory management.
