Assistant Manager - Housekeeping

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Housekeeping supports daily operations across Housekeeping, Recreation/Health Club and Laundry at a luxury hotel in New Delhi. Reporting to senior management, the role ensures guest rooms and public areas are clean, inspected and maintained while upholding budgetary and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage housekeeping operations, budgets and inventory of supplies and linens.
• Coordinate room cleaning assignments, check‑outs and communicate room status to the Front Desk.
• Oversee lost‑and‑found procedures and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Collaborate with Engineering for guest‑room maintenance needs.
• Supervise inspections of guestrooms and public spaces, providing feedback to staff.
• Handle guest complaints, review comment cards and promote exceptional customer service.
• Act as interim supervisor for housekeeping in the absence of the Director or Housekeeping Manager.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 1 year housekeeping experience, OR a 2‑year degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration or related field.
• Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and loss‑prevention policies.
• Ability to manage inventory, supplies and budgeting.
• Excellent communication and guest‑service orientation.

Required skills
