Assistant Manager - Business Development (Financial Services)

About the role

Swiggy is looking for an Assistant Manager to lead business development for its financial services arm, focusing on loan disbursal to restaurant partners in the North region. The role combines sales, relationship management and on‑ground market intelligence to drive financing solutions for restaurants.

Key responsibilities

• Source and convert restaurant leads into loan disbursals, managing the full pipeline from outreach to closure.
• Build and nurture relationships with restaurant owners, DSAs, CAs, brokers and local business groups.
• Generate demand through on‑ground activations, identifying expansion‑stage and growth‑stage restaurants for capex and working‑capital financing.
• Conduct daily field visits and workshops to capture high‑quality leads and promote financing products.
• Collaborate with Swiggy sales teams and lenders to ensure smooth conversions and meet monthly disbursement targets.
• Track pipeline metrics, report on performance and provide market insights on restaurant trends and credit demand.
• Work closely with marketing to design collateral for restaurant promotions and on‑site campaigns.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business development or sales, preferably in financial services or restaurant financing.
• Strong relationship‑building skills with ability to engage restaurant owners and local stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel extensively across the assigned territory and conduct on‑site activations.
• Ability to manage a pipeline, meet targets and provide actionable market insights.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
