Assistant Manager – Automation & Testing (Python/SQL)

About the role

Bank of America’s Data Infrastructure & Strategic Initiatives team is looking for an Assistant Manager to drive automation of Enterprise Independent Testing (EIT). The role focuses on designing, developing and implementing automated tests that provide timely, actionable insight into the operational health of the bank’s processes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain testing automation using Python and SQL to support independent testing of corporate and regulatory controls.
• Collaborate with Front‑Line Units and Control Functions to understand processes, data flows, and risks, translating requirements into automated test scripts.
• Generate automated test documentation directly from code and ensure code quality through debugging, code reviews, and validation sessions.
• Secure testing data, meet sampling requirements, and adhere to SLA metrics for productivity, turnaround time and accuracy.
• Communicate regularly with stakeholders, manage project deliverables, and drive continuous process improvements.

Required profile

• 4‑6 years of experience in Python/SQL programming and software engineering.
• Graduate or post‑graduate degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, B.Tech/B.E. or MCA.
