Area Sales Head – Kanpur

About the role

The Area Sales Head will lead sales operations for the mortgage lending portfolio in Kanpur, driving growth, expanding the customer base and ensuring high service standards. Reporting to senior management, the role combines strategic planning, channel development and team leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue business growth opportunities, building direct and retail DSA channels to meet area targets.
• Increase mortgage loan volumes by managing client databases and coordinating with Relationship Managers.
• Develop and monitor lead generation, sales productivity and performance metrics across the region.
• Analyse market competition, product positioning and emerging trends to inform distribution strategies.
• Engage and train channel partners, ensuring adherence to SLAs, sales efficiency and revenue‑optimised product deployment.
• Maintain high customer satisfaction through relationship management, issue resolution and risk monitoring.
• Prepare periodic MIS reports on profitability, NPAs, new client acquisition and present insights to Cluster Area Heads.
• Guide, mentor and develop Relationship Managers, fostering a high‑performance sales culture.

Required profile

• Proven experience in sales leadership within mortgage lending or financial services.
• Strong track record of achieving sales targets and expanding market presence.
• Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to lead and develop a team of sales professionals.
