Area Manager, GSF Last Mile

About the role

The Area Manager leads a functional area within an Amazon Fresh Fulfillment Center, overseeing budget, people development and operational performance. You will coach a team of Team Leads, drive safety, quality, customer experience and productivity, and ensure the center meets its business plan.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute staffing plans, schedules and quality initiatives.
• Lead Six Sigma and Lean process‑change projects to improve efficiency.
• Measure team performance, provide feedback and hold Team Leads accountable.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, Facilities, S&LP, IT and other managers to secure resources and support.
• Address operational and personnel issues and surface cross‑functional risks.
• Maintain OSHA compliance and support all safety programs.
• Partner with other Area Managers to balance labor and meet productivity targets.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing large teams in a warehouse or fulfillment environment.
• Strong ability to develop people and build leadership bench strength.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and a focus on safety, quality and customer experience.
• Capability to drive continuous improvement and share best practices across shifts.
