Area HR – Retail Operations

About the role

The Area HR will act as a strategic and operational HR partner for retail store operations across the assigned geography. The role manages the full employee lifecycle of frontline retail staff, ensuring high engagement, compliance, and seamless HR service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Drive end‑to‑end recruitment for store‑level roles, manage talent pipelines through vendors, job portals, walk‑ins and local sourcing.
• Coordinate onboarding, induction and orientation programs to ensure a smooth joining experience.
• Maintain employee records, HRIS updates, probation confirmations, transfers, promotions and separations.
• Support performance appraisal processes, track sales KPIs and productivity metrics, and identify high performers.
• Plan and execute employee engagement initiatives, conduct store visits, address grievances and drive retention strategies.
• Oversee attendance management and ensure compliance with HR policies and statutory requirements.

Required profile

• Ability to handle recruitment, onboarding, performance management and employee engagement in a fast‑paced retail environment.

Required skills

• HRIS (Human Resources Information System) proficiency.
