Area FCU Manager – Fraud Containment Unit

About the role

The Area FCU Manager leads the Risk Containment Unit (RCU) for the Agra region, ensuring a risk‑free onboarding process, thorough fraud investigations and continuous improvement of fraud‑control methods. The role supports the organization’s goal of leading the affordable finance market through prudent risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the full RCU process, including pre‑sanction sampling, fraud savings calculations and hit‑rate monitoring.
• Manage vendor and agency relationships, ensuring timely reporting, TAT compliance and accurate MIS and billing submissions.
• Drive digital initiatives such as internal deduplication searches, data mining and fraud‑trend analysis.
• Conduct investigations, cross‑checks of internal reports, and lead meetings with customers, channels and vendors to resolve fraud cases.
• Provide feedback, maintain fraud tracker data and participate in ad‑hoc investigations with successful closures.
• Identify policy or process gaps at the sourcing stage and propose corrective actions.
• Deliver training for samplers, business users and vendors to sustain high‑quality fraud detection.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of current market practices in fraud detection, investigation and analytics.
• Minimum 3 years of progressive experience managing fraud detection processes within NBFC/HFC mortgage businesses.
