Area Credit Manager – Crop Agri-Fin Dealer Funding

About the role

The Area Credit Manager will lead credit evaluation and funding activities for crop‑agri‑finance and dealer financing within the commercial vehicle segment. Reporting to senior management, you will ensure credit proposals are processed efficiently while maintaining compliance with internal policies and RBI regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Assess credit requirements of strategic and retail customers in the commercial vehicle business.
• Underwrite and prepare detailed credit assessment notes covering business, management and financial analysis.
• Analyse balance sheets and other financial statements to identify risk factors.
• Conduct market, competitor and dealer visits to stay updated on market dynamics and act proactively.
• Process proposals within defined turnaround times to support timely market entry.
• Coordinate with relationship managers to ensure compliance with sanction terms and conditions.
• Enforce credit policies and RBI guidelines across all transactions.
• Monitor infant delinquencies and take corrective actions as needed.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in credit analysis or credit management.
• Post‑graduate qualification such as MBA (Finance) or CA.
• Previous experience as a Credit Analyst or Credit Manager, preferably in agricultural or dealer financing.

Required skills

• Strong credit underwriting and financial statement analysis capabilities.
• Knowledge of RBI credit regulations and compliance procedures.
• Ability to conduct market research and risk assessment.
