Architect

About the role

Flipkart is looking for an experienced Architect to drive technology excellence and good engineering practices across its teams. You will own large‑scale systems, influence the broader ecosystem, and help shape the long‑term technical vision of the company.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in development activities for up to 75% of your time, creating reusable modules and systems that reflect best practices.
• Conduct code reviews, design reviews, and architecture discussions.
• Ensure scaling, performance, and quality of the team’s services.
• Define and promote best practices for coding, design, performance, and quality.
• Experiment with new technologies and tools, driving adoption and measuring impact.
• Implement the long‑term technology vision for your product area.
• Own the architecture of assigned products, aligning them with requirements and charter.
• Represent Flipkart in internal and external technology forums.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 years of relevant work experience.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities for complex, large‑scale challenges.
• Broad technical exposure across multiple problem spaces and technologies.
• Excellent system design and object‑oriented design skills.
• Solid coding ability and experience leading engineering teams.
