About the role
The Apprentice Purchasing Associate will support corporate and regional supply chain management (SCM) functions, ensuring supplies and equipment are properly inventoried, received, and distributed. The role works under limited supervision but can handle complex tasks independently.
Key responsibilities
- Generate daily, weekly and monthly MIS reports and ensure work meets quality and schedule requirements.
- Follow SCM processes, verify incoming shipments against invoices, and manage purchase orders, confirmations, and expedites.
- Analyze stock levels, raise inter‑unit transfer orders, and maintain trackers for finalized purchase orders.
- Resolve invoice and requisition anomalies, perform receipt against PO’s, and support cross‑functional communication.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, B‑Tech, Commerce, PGDCA or related field.
- Strong organizational, planning and documentation skills with a self‑driven, positive attitude.
Required skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas) and Word.
- Familiarity with SAP or Oracle SCM modules.
