Application Engineer, Full Stack

About the role

Google's Corporate Engineering team is looking for a Full Stack Application Engineer to design, develop, and maintain internal web applications that support financial planning and analysis. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, translate UI prototypes into functional software, and own the end‑to‑end delivery of reliable solutions for Google’s internal customers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, test, and document web‑based applications that automate finance‑related business processes.
• Gather requirements from stakeholders and translate them into technical specifications.
• Partner with business teams to define system roadmaps and ensure repeatable, high‑quality delivery.
• Set technical direction for a small group of engineers and prioritize work.
• Integrate custom solutions with vendor products such as Anaplan and SAP.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience designing and integrating internal and third‑party applications.
• Proven ability to drive engineering and architecture strategies.
• Experience working with web‑scale databases and data pipelines that process millions of events daily.
