Android Software Engineer

About the role

NAYAN is looking for an Android Software Engineer to join its visual‑intelligence platform team in Delhi. You will design, develop, test and maintain Android applications that power solutions for road safety, smart cities and fleet operations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Android applications using Java and Kotlin.
• Work with Android SDK and Android Studio to support multiple Android versions and screen sizes.
• Integrate apps with backend services via REST APIs and handle JSON data.
• Debug issues, optimise performance and implement UI components following Android design guidelines.
• Collaborate with backend, product and QA teams in an Agile environment.
• Write clean, maintainable code and participate in code reviews.
• Stay updated on best practices and emerging Android technologies.

Required profile

• 2+ years of professional Android development experience.
• Strong knowledge of Java and Kotlin.
• Experience with REST APIs, JSON and Android networking libraries.
• Familiarity with Retrofit, RxJava and Dagger/Hilt.
• Hands‑on experience with Room/SQLite for local data storage.
• Proficiency with Git version control and good problem‑solving communication skills.
