Android Software Engineer

About the role

StockX is looking for an Android Software Engineer to shape the future of its mobile marketplace. You will own technology decisions, build new features, and help millions of users buy and sell high‑demand goods through a modern, performant Android app.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, test, and debug the StockX Android app using Android Studio.
• Build GraphQL and REST APIs that communicate with backend services.
• Apply Clean Architecture, MVVM, and design patterns to create maintainable code.
• Leverage Jetpack Compose for modern, scalable UI components.
• Stay current with Kotlin, Android tools, platform updates, and device variations.
• Lead initiatives from concept through A/B testing and release.
• Collaborate with product owners, program managers, and engineering leads to clarify requirements and propose resilient solutions.
• Promote best engineering practices, security, scalability, reliability, and performance.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional Android development experience.
• Strong understanding of Android platform conventions.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• Ability to document features and explain technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Comfort with fast‑paced, constantly changing product requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
