About the role

Asymmetric Labs is seeking an experienced Android Mobile Developer to join its AI‑first ed‑tech team. You will work on a consumer‑grade learning app, delivering new features that help learners improve their rankings, secure job placements, and advance their careers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy new features for the Android application from concept through launch.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define, design and ship scalable, high‑performance features.
• Optimize app performance, troubleshoot issues and improve overall user experience.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and clean code standards.

Required profile

• 4+ years of professional Android development experience building consumer‑grade mobile applications.
• Strong focus on clean, maintainable code and modular design, with a “tech purist” mindset.
• Ability to think in terms of system design, trade‑offs and scalability.

Required skills

• Kotlin programming language.
• Jetpack Compose for UI development (minimum 2 years).
• Android architectural components such as ViewModel, LiveData, and Room.
• Understanding of Clean Architecture principles.
