Analyst II – Cyber Defense

About the role

Invesco is seeking an Analyst II to join its Cyber Defense team in Hyderabad. The role serves as a technical escalation point during security incidents, working closely with business and IT partners to contain and remediate threats. You will help improve detection accuracy and support the monitoring team during high‑priority events.

Key responsibilities

• Act on alerts, events, and incidents escalated from Level 1 analysts.
• Triage malware incidents, prioritize them, and determine escalation needs.
• Monitor emerging threat patterns and vulnerabilities.
• Provide recommendations, workarounds, and status updates to management.
• Lead shift activities and coordinate with external stakeholders.
• Maintain intrusion‑detection policies, offense rules, and signature libraries.
• Tune alerting mechanisms to reduce false positives.
• Analyze and assess firewall policies and rule‑base sets.
• Handle 24x7 emergency response and support BAU activities when not on incident.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of Information Technology experience, preferably in financial services.
• Demonstrated ability to manage the full incident lifecycle with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication skills for reporting to management and collaborating with stakeholders.
• Willingness to work on‑call rotations and respond to emergencies.
