Algorithm SW Developer – Braking Systems (Hybrid & Autonomous)

About the role

Join Bosch's Global Software Technologies team in Bangalore as an Algorithm SW Developer focused on braking system solutions for hybrid electric and autonomous vehicles. You will design, implement, and validate control algorithms that power advanced safety functions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop control algorithm software for braking products such as ESP, ESPHev, IPB, DPB, and BWA.
• Ensure application software complies with ASPICE and ISO26262 standards.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate algorithms into vehicle ECUs.
• Perform unit testing, debugging, and validation using tools like CANTATA and automotive debuggers.
• Maintain requirements and configuration items using DOORS and SCM tools.

Required profile

• B.E/B.Tech or M.E/M.Tech in Electronics & Communication or Electrical Engineering.
• 4‑8 years of experience in embedded automotive software development.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Awareness of EV and autonomous vehicle functions is a plus.

Required skills

• C and C++ programming.
• Embedded automotive software development.
• Model‑based development with ASCET or MATLAB.
• Requirements management using DOORS.
• Configuration management with ClearCase, RTC, ALM or MKS.
• Unit testing with CANTATA and use of automotive debuggers.
• Knowledge of ISO26262 and ASPICE processes.
• Familiarity with automotive communication protocols such as CAN and FlexRay.
