Airport Baggage Screener

About the role

The Screener ensures safe and efficient screening of hold baggage at Adani Airports, complying with all regulatory standards and detecting prohibited items or security threats. This role involves operating advanced screening equipment, documenting findings, and interacting with passengers and security staff to maintain the highest security standards.

Key responsibilities

• Attend all mandatory regulatory trainings and clear them as required.
• Operate X‑BIS equipment for image analysis to detect dangerous goods, prohibited articles, weapons, or ammunition in check‑in baggage.
• Perform physical inspections and ETD tests for baggage flagged during X‑ray screening.
• Maintain high Threat Image Projection (TIP) scores to demonstrate strong image interpretation capabilities.
• Follow BCAS and DGCA guidelines to ensure strict compliance during baggage handling and inspection.
• Record and document all findings to meet audit and inspection requirements.
• Conduct routine pre‑operational checks of X‑BIS, ETD, CT‑EDS and other security equipment.
• Report equipment malfunctions or downtime and assist in maintaining operational registers.
• Collaborate with CISF and airline staff during physical inspections or resolution of suspicious items.
• Provide timely updates to supervisors about ongoing operations or issues requiring intervention.

Required profile

• Completed required regulatory training and certifications.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs accurately.
• Capability to work in a security‑focused environment and handle passenger interactions professionally.
• Physical ability to perform baggage inspections and equipment checks.
