AI Solutions Engineer - Voice Agents

About the role

Bolna is a Voice AI infrastructure company built for India, helping businesses deploy intelligent voice agents that call, converse and convert in any language, at scale. As an AI Solutions Engineer you will sit at the intersection of product and customers, designing, writing and iterating the prompts and tools that power the voice agents so they sound natural and work well for real users. No heavy coding is required; being able to write a basic script or a solid system prompt is enough.

Key responsibilities

• Write, test and iterate system prompts for voice agents across industries such as D2C, fintech, healthcare and logistics
• Listen to real call recordings, identify where agents fail and fix them
• Build conversation flows and call pathways for new customer deployments
• Onboard new customers: understand their use case, set up their agent and get it live
• Maintain a library of prompts, templates and best practices across Bolna's verticals
• Red-team agents by trying to break them and finding edge cases
• Test agents with vernacular inputs in Hindi, Hinglish and regional languages
• Share customer insights with product and engineering

Required profile

• Has spent significant time prompting LLMs such as ChatGPT or Claude to actually build or solve problems
• Attentive to language quality, able to spot robotic or unclear phrasing
• Able to think from both customer and end-user perspectives and make decisions without a full playbook
• Comfortable with ambiguity
• Strong written and spoken English; Hindi or another Indian language is a big plus
• Nice to have: experience tinkering with voice AI tools, having built a small automation or chatbot, or a customer-facing role such as sales, support or intern

• Prompting LLMs (ChatGPT, Claude)
• Writing system prompts and basic scripts
• Nice to have: familiarity with how LLMs work (context windows, temperature, hallucinations)
