AI Governance & Responsible AI Consultant

About the role

The AI Governance & Responsible AI Consultant will shape Bosch’s enterprise framework for safe, ethical, and compliant AI. Based in the AI Center of Excellence in Bangalore, the role advises engineering, product, legal and business teams to make AI systems trustworthy and auditable throughout their lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain Responsible AI principles, policies and guidelines covering fairness, transparency, accountability, privacy, safety and human oversight.
• Create assessment templates and risk‑classification approaches for AI and Generative AI use cases.
• Establish explainability requirements, documentation standards and support business teams in communicating AI‑driven decisions.
• Set AI security standards, guardrails and orchestrate security testing, red‑team exercises and remediation tracking.
• Develop lifecycle governance controls and ensure compliance with regulations such as the EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, ISO/IEC 42001 and GDPR.
• Provide expert consulting for client engagements, workshops and governance playbooks.

Required profile

• 8–12 years of experience in AI governance, Responsible AI, model risk, data privacy, compliance or AI/ML with a governance focus.
• Educational background: B.E/B.Tech/MCA/PhD or equivalent in a relevant technical discipline.

Required skills

• Experience defining governance controls, risk frameworks and compliance processes.
• Strong grasp of the AI/ML and Generative AI lifecycle (LLMs, RAG, agents, deployment, monitoring) and associated risk surfaces.
• Familiarity with EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, ISO/IEC 42001, GDPR and sector‑specific AI obligations.
