AI Engineer – Mobile Applications

About the role

The AI Innovation and Inclusion Initiative (A4I) is seeking an AI Engineer with strong mobile development expertise to create AI‑powered applications for large‑scale, real‑world deployments. You will work at the intersection of mobile engineering, AI integration, and release management to deliver reliable, accessible experiences for users in low‑connectivity environments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain mobile applications using Flutter, React Native, or native Android with Kotlin.
• Integrate large language model (LLM) APIs, speech processing tools, and computer‑vision capabilities into mobile apps.
• Design offline‑first experiences that function reliably with limited connectivity.
• Manage app release cycles, versioning, and deployment workflows.
• Implement Firebase analytics, crash reporting, and push‑notification services.
• Build multilingual and accessibility‑focused user interfaces.
• Collaborate closely with AI engineers, designers, and partner teams.

Required profile

• 4–7 years of software engineering experience, including production mobile applications.
• Hands‑on experience integrating AI or ML services into mobile products.
• Proficiency with Firebase services and release‑management processes.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
