AFS Operations Analyst – REO Property Preservation

About the role

You will be responsible for ensuring the timely completion and coordination of all activities required to secure, maintain and preserve REO properties acquired through reverse‑mortgage foreclosures, working closely with vendors and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the REO property preservation process for reverse mortgages, following company procedures and legal guidelines.
• Coordinate property inspections, secure vacant properties, oversee clean‑out, debris removal and lawn maintenance.
• Arrange winterization services and other life‑safety measures such as board‑up and plumbing shut‑off.
• Track and document all preservation activities and maintain accurate records for each REO property.
• Collaborate with asset managers and other departments to ensure a smooth transition when properties are ready for listing and sale.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of experience in property preservation, REO management, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of reverse‑mortgage foreclosure timelines and procedures.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills with vendors, contractors and internal teams.
• Detail‑oriented, proactive and able to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
