Advocate – Litigation Role

About the role

Law Tak is seeking a full‑time Advocate to join its Delhi office. The successful candidate will work closely with clients and internal teams to deliver effective litigation and advisory services across civil, criminal and commercial matters.

Key responsibilities

• Draft pleadings, petitions, written statements and applications for various courts and tribunals.
• Appear before courts and tribunals, prepare arguments and support trial strategy.
• Conduct legal research, analyse case law and statutes, and prepare case notes and document reviews.
• Advise clients on legal strategy, options and settlement negotiations.
• Coordinate with internal teams, maintain case files, manage deadlines and ensure timely filings.
• Participate in client meetings and contribute to the firm’s overall litigation practice.

Required profile

• LL.B. (or equivalent) from a recognised institution and enrollment with the Bar Council of India.
• Strong legal research, case law analysis and statutory interpretation abilities.
• Proven experience drafting pleadings, contracts and legal opinions.
• Experience appearing in Delhi courts, with exposure to civil, criminal or commercial matters.
• Excellent client communication, negotiation and advisory skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases, organise documentation and meet strict deadlines.
• High ethical standards and a client‑focused approach.
