Accountant – Real Estate

About the role

propkarmaa is seeking a dedicated Accountant to manage the financial operations of its real‑estate portfolio. You will ensure accurate bookkeeping, compliance with Indian accounting standards, and transparent reporting for residential, commercial and mixed‑use assets.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain end‑to‑end accounting for multiple property portfolios, including transaction recording, bank reconciliation and ledger management.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) for investors and internal stakeholders.
• Process vendor payments, tenant receivables and property expense accruals with precise month‑end cut‑offs.
• Ensure compliance with Ind AS/IFRS, GST, TDS and property‑specific tax regulations.
• Collaborate with legal and operations teams to audit lease agreements, rental income and capital expenditure documentation.
• Automate reporting using Tally, Zoho Books or similar tools and support ad‑hoc financial analysis for strategic decisions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in property accounting and financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of Indian accounting standards (Ind AS), GST and TDS compliance.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams and meet tight financial close deadlines.
