Accountant – 3 Years Experience

About the role

We are seeking an Accountant with at least three years of experience to join our finance team in Arusha, Tanzania. The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, preparing key financial statements, and supporting compliance and audit activities.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger, perform bank reconciliations and prepare monthly/annual balance sheets and income statements.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, process vendor payments and ensure timely collections.
• Prepare and file VAT and income tax returns, ensuring compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis to identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Provide documentation and explanations for internal and external audits.
• Identify inefficiencies in accounting processes and implement improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum three years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping or a similar finance role.
