Account Manager – Metrology (India)

About the role

We are seeking an Account Manager specialized in metrology to expand the presence of our 3D measurement solutions across India. The role combines technical expertise with sales acumen to drive revenue and build lasting customer relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Follow up on business opportunities, manage existing key accounts and open new sales channels.
• Generate sales revenue by delivering product demonstrations at customer sites.
• Evaluate customer requirements, including installation location, mounting, engineering drawings, CAD data, GD&T and inspection plans.
• Develop expert knowledge of Shining 3D hardware and software to present solutions at trade shows, engineering associations and other events.
• Identify additional sales opportunities beyond traditional channels.
• Leverage internal resources such as sales management, Inside Sales Specialists, Applications Engineers and marketing to advance and close deals.
• Act as the primary technical contact during the evaluation period and provide support.
• Communicate hardware and software recommendations to Applications Engineers and R&D as needed.
• Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales performance targets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in metrology, mechanical engineering, manufacturing, surveying or quality control.
• Ability to work independently and travel up to 40% of the time.
• Minimum 3 years of proven success in sales of capital equipment or industrial solutions.
• Familiarity with 3D scanning products or industrial measurement; experience selling 3D‑related products is a strong plus.
• Proficiency in English.
