Academic Counsellor – Onsite

About the role

We are looking for an Academic Counsellor to join our Bangalore office and guide prospective students and their parents through the enrollment journey. The role combines student counselling, programme recommendation and sales conversion to achieve admission targets while ensuring a smooth onboarding experience.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with prospective students and parents to understand academic needs and career goals, providing detailed information on programmes, curriculum and outcomes.
• Conduct one‑on‑one counselling sessions both online and offline.
• Follow up leads generated via marketing, inbound calls and referrals, driving end‑to‑end admissions conversion.
• Achieve monthly and quarterly admission targets.
• Maintain strong rapport, address queries on courses, fees, schedules and academic pathways.
• Record interactions, follow‑ups and conversions in the CRM and prepare regular lead and pipeline reports.
• Coordinate with academic and operations teams to organise demo classes, assessments and orientation sessions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (education background preferred).
• 0–4 years of experience in counselling, sales, inside sales or customer‑facing roles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work in a target‑driven, fast‑paced environment.
• Prior experience in the Edtech sector is mandatory.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience with CRM tools.
