Software Engineer - Infra

About the role

Veeva is seeking a passionate Software Engineer to join the Vault Automation Platform & Tools team. You will work on testing and automating infrastructure changes using AWS, Kubernetes, and Docker, helping deliver reliable, high‑availability cloud services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain test automation for infrastructure features such as zero‑downtime upgrades, HA, and DR.
• Set up, maintain, and improve the infrastructure test environment, including AWS services and container orchestration.
• Collaborate with product managers, software engineers, and QA peers to verify releases and triage automation results.
• Communicate status, risks, and progress to on‑shore managers and team leads.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in software test automation or SDET roles.
• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Required skills

• Programming languages: Java, JavaScript, Python, Bash/Shell.
• API automation tools such as RestAssured.
• Cloud infrastructure: AWS EC2, S3, DynamoDB, SQS, Load Balancers, IAM, EKS.
• Monitoring and analytics: ELK Stack, CloudWatch, Prometheus.
• Configuration management: Ansible, Terraform, Chef, CloudFormation.
• Version control: GitLab, GitHub.
• Agile/Scrum development practices.
