Sewer Technician – Utilities Department

About the role
The Sewer Technician works within the Utilities – Water Operations department to support citywide sewer infrastructure. The position involves routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and emergency response to ensure reliable sewer service for residents.
Key responsibilities
- Schedule and perform cleaning of city sewer mains.
- Test sinkholes and identify breakdowns using sewer cameras, dye, or other methods.
- Diagnose and resolve customer-reported sewer problems.
- Repair and maintain lift stations and related equipment.
- Maintain service trucks and specialized tools.
- Respond to after‑hours calls as needed.
Required profile
- Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
- At least 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a drug screening and background check.
- Non‑exempt status, reporting to the Utility Director or Deputy Director of Operations.

What we offer
- Hourly wage of $17.50
