Senior Platform Service Engineer (m/f/d)

About the role

The Senior Platform Service Engineer joins BASF Digital Hub Hyderabad to ensure reliable operation of OT firewall and network infrastructure across BASF production sites. You will act as a key technical bridge between IT and OT, delivering secure, compliant, and efficient network services.

Key responsibilities

• Implement rapid changes and incident handling on OT firewalls and network platforms such as Palo Alto and Checkpoint.
• Manage rollout, lifecycle, and configuration of firewalls and core network components in production environments.
• Streamline firewall configurations to meet regulatory compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with product owners, engineers, and internal business partners to define requirements and develop best‑practice solutions.
• Work closely with IT/OT teams and external vendors to support network projects and initiatives.
• Drive automation and continuous improvement in firewall monitoring and operations.
• Stay up‑to‑date with emerging technologies and security standards relevant to OT environments.

Required profile

• Proven experience with OT firewall and network infrastructure in an industrial setting.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and capacity to work with global, cross‑functional teams.
• Understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements for industrial networks.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
