Senior Engineer / Assistant Manager – Fire Safety Officer

About the role

The Senior Engineer/Assistant Manager – Fire Safety Officer will lead fire safety initiatives at Bosch's Nashik facility, ensuring rapid, effective response during emergencies and safeguarding people and assets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain fire safety management plans, design emergency frameworks, issue guidelines, and periodically review procedures.
• Supervise regular fire safety inspections, verify that fire and life‑safety systems are operational and ready for use.
• Conduct training for employees, contractors and facility staff on fire safety, basic firefighting techniques, fire drills and evacuation drills.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with fire safety regulations and support external emergency responses.
• Ensure plant processes meet statutory requirements and Bosch guidelines for fire emergency systems, achieving 100% compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Diploma in industrial safety, fire‑fighting or a related course (desired).
• Authorized RTO licence for driving ambulance and fire vehicles.
• 5‑6 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, including at least 3 years in an HSE function.
• Hands‑on experience driving emergency vehicles.
