About the role

AlphaGrep Securities is seeking a Quantitative Trading Intern to join its algorithmic trading group. The intern will contribute to the design, implementation, and testing of high‑frequency trading strategies and supporting tools.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and deploy high‑frequency trading algorithms.
• Explore trading ideas by analyzing market data and micro‑structure for patterns.
• Create tools for data analysis and pattern detection.
• Contribute to libraries of analytical computations supporting market data analysis and trading.
• Develop, augment, and calibrate exchange simulators.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s students in Computer Science, Mathematics or related fields.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
• Experience with data analysis, market research or data modeling (a plus).
• Passion for new technologies and ideas.
• Effective communication skills.

Required skills

• C++ programming.
• Python programming.
• R or Matlab for quantitative analysis.
• Linux/Unix operating environment.
• Familiarity with machine learning concepts (a plus).
